Adam Aldana of Valley Christian Academy and Orcutt Academy’s Karli Lundberg were named Northern Santa Barbara County Athletic Round Table Athletes of the Week.
Lundberg is on the Spartan’s golf team and a medalist at the CIF Central Section qualifier at Santa Maria Country Club. She was also named MVP of the Ocean League after shooting a 92.
Adam Aldana led the Lions to a 58-42 win on Thursday and finished with 275 yards on 32 carries. The junior running back also rushed for two touchdowns and a two-point conversion. On defense, he blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown while adding 15 tackles, one sack, and two forced fumbles.
“At first our linemen were not blocking as much and we couldn’t find any holes and then we went to the outside and started running and blocking,” Aldana said.
