The Morro Bay boys wrestling team finished runner-up to North Bakersfield at the CIF Central Section Division 4 Championships on Saturday in Hanford.
North Bakersfield, which Morro Bay defeated in a dual earlier this season, topped the Pirates in the standings 200.5 to 191.0.
Morro Bay crowned three CIF champions, Trey Dennis at 120 lbs, Marshall Beecham at 126 lbs, and Cole Visconte at 170 lbs. The Pirates had nine placeholders and qualified eight wrestlers to next weekend’s Masters Tournament in Lemoore, February 15-16.
