The Cuesta College baseball team won its second straight conference game Thursday afternoon, defeating Santa Barbara, 9-4.
The Cougars put up a seven-spot in the 8th inning, just one day after putting up eight runs in the 8th against rival Hancock. Sophomore reliever Braden Gowdy picked up his second straight win, allowing only one earned run over four innings of work.
Offensively, nine Cuesta players picked up a hit on Thursday. The Cougars (11-7, 2-2) and Vaqueros (9-7, 2-3) will clash again on Saturday, this time in Santa Barbara at 1 P.M.
