The San Luis Obispo Blues began their 2019 campaign with a shutout win, 4-0, over Santa Maria on Friday night at Sinsheimer Park.

In the bottom of the inning, the Blues got some insurance from San Luis Obispo native Jeremy Jess, who delivered an RBI double to right field. Cuesta’s Broc Mortensen came around to score the 4th Blues run.
San Luis Obispo will continue its four-game set with Santa Maria on Saturday night at Sinsehimer, with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m.
