Jessie Holton, a 2020 Atascadero graduate, signed her letter of intent Friday to play goalie for Central Methodist University women's soccer in Fayette, Missouri.
Holton says she hasn't been to CMU's campus, but she feels like it will be the perfect fit for her college experience: Holton is ready for her upcoming journey to the Midwest.
"I never thought I'd have a perfect college or find somewhere I truly felt like it was going to be home," said Holton. "I started talking with the coaches and it checked every box. To be honest, it was like a dream come true."
Holton leaves for Missouri on Tuesday and will start workouts with the team the following Saturday.
