Cal Poly football’s home opener against Weber State has been postponed.
The game, originally scheduled for March 6, is now set to take place April 17, according to Cal Poly, which says the decision was an agreement between the two schools and the Big Sky Conference.
Cal Poly’s new home opener is now set to take place March 13 against Southern Utah.
“The Big Sky Conference released a shortened six-game spring schedule in January, leaving two bye weeks on March 20 and April 17 to provide an opportunity to reschedule postponed contests. Cal Poly has already moved its first game against UC Davis to the March 20 slot,” according to a press release.
The Mustangs resumed practice last weekend after COVID-19 concerns prompted practices to stop for 17 days.
