The Righetti girls basketball team received a 1-seed in Division III in the CIF State Championships and will take the court in the 2nd round Thursday evening after receiving a bye in the 1st round.

The Warriors will host Mount Miguel (Spring Valley) Thursday at 7pm. Righetti has the ability to host throughout state until the championship if they continue to win.

Righetti and Mission Prep are in the same bracket, so if both teams prevail Thursday night, the teams will meet on Saturday night with an appearance in the semifinals on the line.

"I think the girls are feeling confident going in. This team is very unique," Desiree Hitch, the Warriors' head coach, said. "I've never seen them give up this whole entire season, so I know what to expect from them tomorrow night. I know they're going to play all the way until the buzzer goes, and that's all I can really ask for. I think that this team is really special that way. They want to win."
