Oscar Rojas of Lompoc High School and Malia Cabigon of Righetti High School were honored Monday afternoon in Santa Maria at the Northern Santa Barbara County Athletic Round Table luncheon.
Female: Malia Cabigon, Righetti high school basketball. Cabigon led the Warriors to the CIF-State Regional Semifinal behind 21 points and 8 rebounds in a 68-63 overtime win against Mount Miguel. Cabigon scored 11 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in a loss to Paloma Valley. Cabigon averaged 12.8 points and 7.6 rebounds on the year.
Male: Oscar Rojas, Lompoc High School baseball. Rojas pitched a complete game on Friday in a 5-1 win against rival Cabrillo. He amassed 11 strikeouts and went 2 for 3 at the plate including a triple and an RBI. The Braves travel to Santa Ynez today for a Channel League game at 2:00 PM.
