Standard summer fare in the weather forecast

Night and morning clouds continue at the coast with inland temps starting to decrease. Inland valleys of SLO county will be 90-95 on Wednesday but cool into the lower 90s Thursday through the weekend.

This subtle cooling trend will be harder to find at the coast where temps in the 60s at the beach and lower to middle 70s in the coastal valley look to continue mostly unchanged.

Southcoast temperatures in Santa Barbara county will stay near 80 and the Santa Ynez Valley in the middle 80s.

Some high clouds will continue to spray across the area at times filtering the sunshine.

There is an upper low off the Pac NW which will shift east helping to drive this cooldown. The ridge it flattens looks to rebuild next week. This will help to bring inland temps back to the upper 90s again. The good news is that SW flow should keep monsoon mugginess out of the area.
