The body of Chad Corpuz, a Templeton man who disappeared in June, has been identified after being discovered along Highway 101 last week.
According to the California Highway Patrol, on July 31, authorities received a call from Caltrans personnel regarding a possible body on the west shoulder of the highway near Vineyard Road.
CHP Templeton Area personnel arrived on scene to discover the body of a man lying face down on the dirt shoulder.
While no personal identifying information was found at the scene, investigators later confirmed the individual to be Corpuz.
Corpuz was last seen on June 16 walking away from his home in Templeton, leaving his phone, dog, and car at home.
At the time, investigators believed he may have been going through a mental health crisis.
The CHP says his family has been notified.
