It’s National Pet Day!
The holiday was founded by animal welfare advocate Colleen Paige in 2005 and sponsored by the Animal Miracle Foundation and Network. In addition to giving your own pets some extra love, organizers say it’s a great day to take supplies to pets in shelters and considering adopting a pet on social media.
