Santa Barbara County Firefighters have extinguished a fire in an apartment complex on 6767 Del Playa Drive in Isla Vista.
Firefighters said at approximately 8:51 p.m. Thursday, they got reports of the fire burning inside an apartment on the second floor of the complex. When they arrived they found a living room and the contents inside burning. They contained the fire to the living room and no other units in the complex were impacted.
When firefighters arrived, the people inside the apartment were already outside. Firefighters said there were no injuries. Red Cross has been notified to help the people displaced from the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
