UPDATE: CHP identifies pedestrian hit, killed in San Luis Obispo

UPDATE (3:15 p.m.) - Authorities have identified the pedestrian hit and killed near Prado Road last week as Alycia Amos of San Luis Obispo.

UPDATE (8:22 a.m.) - CHP said one person died. All northbound lanes were reopening as of 8:22 a.m. No other information was immediately available.

ORIGINAL STORY: According to CHP, a SIG Alert is in place due to a large amount of fog and stopped traffic near Prado Road in San Luis Obispo.

The northbound Prado Road on-ramp is closed and CHP is diverting traffic at Los Osos Valley Road.

According to CHP, there was a person lying in the fast lane on Highway 101 at approximately 6:15 Thursday morning.

Reports came in that the person in the road was hit by a vehicle.
