* TEMPERATURE…Afternoon temperatures from 96 to 103 degrees.
Evening temperatures will cool down to the mid 80s to low 90s.
Low temperatures overnight will be much warmer than normal.
* IMPACTS…Very hot conditions create a dangerous situation in
which heat illnesses are possible for those who are sensitive to
heat, especially those without effective cooling or adequate
hydration. Temperatures inside vehicles, even if the windows are
partially open, can quickly rise to life-threatening levels.
Gusty winds will make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. The extended period of hot temperatures with
relatively low humidities will bring elevated fire danger today.
A Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. Heat illnesses are possible for those who are sensitive
to heat, especially those without effective cooling or adequate
hydration. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned
room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and
neighbors.
