Low clouds and morning fog will cover most of the Central Coast Thursday morning before some afternoon clearing.
Daytime highs for the beaches will be in the low 60s with mostly cloudy conditions. Coastal valleys will range from the mid to high 60s, while inland temperatures could reach the high 70s.
Northwesterly winds are in the forecast but will be calm throughout the afternoon and stay around five miles per hour. The calm winds will increase Thursday night with gusts up to 20 mph.
Expect increasing cloud coverage Thursday night ahead of the rain that is in the forecast for Friday. National Weather Service predicts San Luis Obispo County will see most of the rain over Santa Barbara County. Right now, SLO county rain totals could range from .25’’-1.00’’ with north county getting most of it.
