Significant cooling compared to Monday

Tuesday will have temperatures about 10-15 degrees cooler compared to what Monday had in store for the Central Coast.

A trough that is moving into the area is pushing those temperatures down to near seasonal averages and bring to mid to high-level clouds. At the beaches, expect daytime highs in the upper 60s. Coastal and inland valleys will range from low 70s to low 80s.

By the early afternoon hours, most of the area will have winds ranging from 10-15 miles per hour with gusts up to 20 mph so expect a fairly breezy day. The north coast of San Luis Obispo County could see winds around 10 mph by 7:00 a.m. and wind gusts around 25 mph throughout most of the afternoon.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, a trough moving through the area could bring some chances for light rain Wednesday night. Temperatures will increase once again as a ridge builds over California on Friday, which could bring daytime highs from the lower 70s to low 80s.
