Varying temperatures will continue on the Central Coast Tuesday with daytime highs ranging from the upper 50s to low 80s in certain areas.

Low clouds and fog will blanket the coastline and some of the coastal and inland valleys Tuesday morning and will burn off in the interior portions by the afternoon. However. it’s likely those clouds and fog will linger at the beaches.

The interior portions could have temperatures reach the low 80s Tuesday with mostly sunny skies. The coastal valleys will be slightly cooler and range from the upper 60s to mid-70s. Due to the increasing marine layer, the beaches will be much cooler and sticking around the upper 50s to mid-60s. Winds will also remain calm Wednesday, staying within a five to ten mile per hour range.

As the week continues, temperatures will continue to cool down and morning low clouds and fog will become more widespread throughout the area due to a trough of low pressure.
