Friday will be the unofficial start of breezy conditions that will continue into the weekend.

In general, winds will range from about 15-30 miles per hour throughout the Central Coast Friday. A wind advisory will go into effect at 6:00 p.m. for a portion of Santa Barbara County, south of Point Conception down to Santa Barbara County’s south coast and its interior portions. Under this advisory, northwesterly to westerly winds are expected to range from 20-30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph, particularly in the Santa Ynez range. It will expire at 5:00 a.m. Saturday but windy conditions will persist throughout the weekend.

As the winds increase, temperatures will continue to cool down. The coastal and inland valleys will range from the mid -60s to low 70s Friday and in the upper 50s to low 60s at the beaches.

Expect morning low clouds and fog to linger along the coastline throughout the morning and then burn off by the afternoon.
