Wind advisory remains for SLO, Santa Barbara Counties

As high pressure continues to build, temperatures will rise between 10 and 15 degrees above normal on Monday into Tuesday. Inland valleys will see temperatures reach the 90s and 100s.

In coastal valleys, northwesterly onshore winds will keep temperatures in the low 80s. Beaches will remain in the 60s with a few locations like Avila Beach hitting the 70s.

A wind advisory is in effect for San Luis Obispo County and northern parts of Santa Barbara County, like Santa Maria, through 9 p.m. Sunday.  The wind advisory Southern Santa Barbara County will be in effect through 10 a.m. Monday.

For San Luis Obispo County, winds are expected to remain gusty through Sunday but are expected to drop below advisory levels by the evening hours.

Gusty northerly winds will continue through early Monday across the Santa Barbara South Coast and Santa Ynez mountains. Gusts could reach up to 55 mph with the strongest winds through the passes and canyons of the Santa Ynez Range.

A red flag warning remains in effect for Santa Barbara County through 10 a.m. Monday.
