The inland valleys of SLO county have taken the worst of the heat wave so far with highs 100-110.  I think the next two days will also see highs in the Paso Robles area of 105-110 before dropping a bit to roughly 100-102 for the weekend.  I think 100 degree potential is in the forecast into the middle of next week at least. It is a different story at the coast however, high pressure across California will produce breezy northwesterly winds and clear afternoons along the beaches. However, marine low clouds with areas of fog and mist will develop during the night and morning hours. There continue to be a number of advisories for the heat: a heat advisory for SLO county into Friday evening and an excessive heat warning for SB county along with a wind advisory and red flag warning.  In SB county into Friday there is the potential for not only the 100 degree heat but low relative humidity and high winds from Sundowners which creates high fire risk.
