Temperatures will continue to soar into the triple-digits in interior valleys while coastal valleys will reach the mid to high 80s. Beaches will see daytime highs in the 60s, however, Avila and Shell Beach are expected to reach the 70s in the afternoon.
Moving into early next week, low pressure moves into the Pacific Northwest which will produce cooler temperatures throughout San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties.
Winds will pick up in the afternoon hours with sustained winds around 25 to 38 mph along the California coastline. The strong winds will likely keep the marine layer at a minimum.
