The cool-down is here for inland areas

Marine low clouds and areas of dense fog along the coastline will form again tonight and some cloud development in the inland valleys is also possible with the depth of the marine layer increasing due to a trough of low pressure over the west.

Breezy afternoon northwesterly winds redevelop Thursday afternoon and will clear out the skies.

High temperatures along the beaches will be in the 60s again Thursday with 70s in the coastal valleys and low 80s inland.

We’ll see some temperature recovery, especially inland, this weekend as the trough lifts out and some high pressure builds.  That’ll mean mid 80s inland but only a couple degrees of warming at the beach and coast.

Temperatures should return to near-normal over the first half of next week.
