As high pressure builds over California, mostly clear skies and breezy conditions will continue through the rest of the weekend and early next week.

Sunday and Monday’s high temperatures will reach the low 80s inland, high 70’s in coastal valleys and beaches remain in the 60’s.

Saturday’s peak winds reached nearly 45 mph around 4:45 p.m. So far on Sunday, peak winds have only reached 8.5 mph.

Strong northwesterly winds are forecast for Sunday afternoon with sustained winds from 20 to 30 mph. Winds are expected to decrease and shift out of the northeast into Monday morning.

For those hoping to see the Vandenberg Air Force Base launch,  skies are expected to stay clear. Northeast winds will be between 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph in the evening.

To our north, high winds and low humidity have triggered Red Flag warnings in the Bay Area through Monday.
