Rain making its way towards the Central Coast

Posted
and last updated

A storm system is still on the way for the Central Coast but the forecast for total rain has been adjusted downward.

The system looks to produce mostly scattered shower with a range of .10-1″ possible. The storm still looks to provide stronger se winds 15-25mph with gusts to 40mph. Those winds start tonight and continue into Wednesday and there is a wind advisory in place.

This weather system will also produce some high surf, with 7-9 foot seas expected Wednesday morning before teetering off by the afternoon. While this system is now looking less intense than previously expected, some of the strong winds associated with this storm may cause delays at LAX. Be sure to check your travel itinerary before heading out Wednesday afternoon.
