Quiet weather ahead

After a quick splash and dash cold front Sunday, the Central Coast is in a transition to the dominant feature of a high pressure ridge in the east Pacific. Tonight winds will road across Santa Barbara county into Tuesday morning with north winds 20-30 with gusts past 45mph.

For most of the area outside of that portion of Santa Barbara county, winds diminish this evening and temps get cool for overnight lows. Even near freezing in the interior valleys where some patchy fog is possible late. Tuesday also looks on the cooler side with 50s inland and lower 60s at the coast but some warming mid to late week when we’ll see some 70s at the coast.

Models do show some potential for a return of more active weather in early Feb.
