Updated 10:49pm with latest video forecast and the wind advisory issued inland.

An atmospheric river supplied system has already produced showers for the Central Coast. This activity will pick up paceovernight with more moderate and occasionally heavy rain. Rain breaks off to on and off showers Saturday and those showers may also linger into early Sunday before we get a break in the weather.

While some light activity is possible earlier, most of the heavier rain really arrives after sunset tonight into early Saturday morning but lingering on-off showers into Sunday will slowly add to totals.

Snow levels with this system are very high locally, over 6000ft. There is a threat of thunderstorms with the system, especially on Saturday.

Thunderstorms are possible with the storm system late tonight into Saturday, this outlook map is from the Storm Prediction Center.
