More clouds and more showers into the weekend

We are in a cool and slightly unstable weather pattern with a few weak disturbances moving thru the area between now and Sunday.

None of the new disturbances will be working with subtropical moisture, the so-called atmospheric river, so anticipated rainfall amounts will be low from 0 to perhaps as much as .25” over the next couple days.

Snow levels will drop due to the cold nature of the pattern.  I think we are looking at snow levels down to 3000ft, maybe 2500 but any amounts would be minor.

Scattered showers are likely tonight into early Friday then much of Friday should be dry.  I think Saturday starts dry but by mid afternoon and evening some additional light showers returns to the forecast.  I think Sunday also favors showers but activity should wane a bit Monday (but some showers can’t be entirely ruled out).

Tuesday also features some shower potential, but again light accumulation.  Tuesday should also be rather breezy.

Highs thru the entire period will be in the 50s for most with a few scattered low 60s near the coast.
