Weekend weather warms with 80s possible Sunday

Mostly clear skies and warmer temperatures thru the weekend. High pressure will dominate the area bringing sunny skies and breezy offshore winds. Temperatures will continue to warm through Sunday. Cloud cover will increase and temperatures will cool down early next week.

The only area of potential concern will be the strong sundownwer winds expected tonight into tomorrow morning for the passes, canyons and higher country in SB county. Winds 20-30 with gusts near 50mph are possible.

I think we see a lot of 70s Saturday with possibly the Southcoast into the 80s but Sunday most of the area should see temps near 80, even inland. Beaches should be in the middle 70s.

The tail end of a weak system will move through the area Tuesday so it is possible we could see some light showers in SLO county but south of SLO county there doesn’t appear to be much of a chance. Wednesday looks dry but Thursday and Friday could see another round of showers followed by another possible system next Friday night into Saturday. That’s a full week away, so enjoy this brilliant weekend on the way.
