Not much is changing in the forecast Thursday. Low clouds and fog are filling in over the region Thursday morning, from the coast to the interior valleys, and daytime highs are going to be on the cooler side once again.
The clouds will start to clear over the coastal and interior valleys by late morning. However, at the coast, the marine layer could linger through much of the early afternoon before the sunshine takes over.
Daytime highs for the interior valleys are going to be on the cooler side and from the upper 80s to the low 90s. Much of the coastal valley areas will be in the 70s with the exception of Santa Barbara, which will be close to the low 80s Thursday. At the coast, daytime highs will stay closer to the 60s as a result of the stubborn marine layer.
Northwesterly winds will be fairly mild throughout the morning and early afternoon. By about 3 p.m., a steady breeze will pick up for much of the area. At the coast, wind gusts could reach 20-25 miles per hour. Similar conditions could be felt in the inland and coastal valleys through early Thursday night.
