The start of the week will be breezy with mostly clear skies. Commuters can still expect morning temperatures for the coastal and inland valley communities to be close to the 30s and 40s, while the coastal communities will be near the 40s through the 8 o'clock hour.

Throughout the morning, winds will shift out of the northeast, ranging from 15-25 miles per hour. By the afternoon, the winds will shift out of the northwest with potential for some areas to reach 30 mph.

Temperature-wise, daytime highs will be mild. A lot of the coastal valley regions across the Central Coast will stay close to the upper 60s with clear skies. At the coast and for the inland valley communities, temperatures will be slightly cooler by a few degrees and stay right around the low to mid-60s. A high surf advisory will be in effect through 6:00 p.m. Monday for beaches from northern Santa Barbara County through northern San Luis Obispo County. During that time, breaking waves will range from eight to ten feet.

There is a slight chance of rain by the start of the weekend, otherwise, expect daytime highs to be cooler by five degrees on Valentine's Day.
