Breezy conditions, mostly clear skies Valentine's Day

It was quite the gusty day for some parts of the central coast.

Areas in southern Santa Barbara County saw gusts over 50 mph!

A mostly drive cold front is moving through the area, increasing northerly gradients.

Strong to damaging NW to North winds can be expected over much of the region this afternoon, with strong winds continuing in many areas through Sunday before diminishing.

A High Wind Warning is in place in the Santa Barbara County mountains through 12 pm Sunday, due to winds 30-40 mph, gusts to 60 mph.

There is a Wind Advisory in place for the Santa Barbara County south coast through 12 pm Sunday as well, due to NW-N winds, 20-30 mph and gusts to 45 mph.

The strong winds can be seen out on the water as well.
A Gale Warning covers much of our outer waters and a Small Craft Advisory in in effect for nearshore waters.

Shield of mostly thin hi-level clouds were seen throughout the area Saturday, and may return again Sunday evening.

Dry weather is expected from late Sunday through next Saturday.
