After a gusty wind event Monday, Tuesday's conditions will be slightly calmer. While no advisories will be in place, the Central Coast will be breezy Tuesday.

Northwesterly sustaining winds will range from 15-20 miles per hour from the afternoon through evening hours. Most of the areas in the coastal valleys, interior valleys and beaches will have the potential to have gusts near 30 mph gusts. The south coast will have a slightly different narrative as areas west of Goleta could experience afternoon wind gusts up to 40 mph.

Tuesday will be the coolest day over the next seven-day period as a result of a trough of low pressure that's over the west coast. Along the coastline, temperatures will peak around the upper 60s. Conditions in the coastal and interior valleys will nearly line up with daytime highs from the low to upper 70s. A ridge of high pressure will replace the trough Wednesday and daytime highs will gradually start to warm up. Inland valley communities can expect temperatures to get fairly close to triple-digits by the weekend.
