Skies will be clear and winds will be shifting out of the northeast through the morning drive Thursday morning.
The main difference in the forecast is that daytime highs are trending down by a few degrees. Along the coast and across the interiors, expect most cities to reach temperatures between the low to upper 60s. As for the coastal valley communities, temperatures will be slightly warmer and closer to the mid-60s and low 70s. The cool air advection and morning offshore flow will aid in the cooling of these daytime highs but they are expected to trend back up by Friday.
Wind speeds will be mild to moderate Thursday, reaching 25 miles per hour along the coast and 20 mph over the valleys. These winds will continue to increase through Friday as winds are expected to reach 30 mph.
To start off the weekend, temperatures will trend back up and return to the 70s as an upper-level trough moves east. For Saturday and Sunday, daytime highs are expected to return to seasonal averages.
