High pressure is building back up over the great basin, and as a result, the Central Coast and south coast is warming up.
The inland valley daytime highs will warm-up by eight to 12 degrees Thursday, which means most cities could be back in the 90s. As for the coastal valleys, most areas will be back in the 80s with increasing temperatures over the weekend. Even the coastal regions will have temperatures in the 70s, possibly even the 80s, for Avila Beach and Cayucos.
Northeasterly winds will be breezy Thursday, ranging from 15-20 miles per hour through 7:00 p.m, which will result in clear skies.
The weekend looks hot for the inland valley communities as temperatures will reach triple-digits Friday and Saturday. A trough of low pressure will swing over the area early next week and temperatures will cool down significantly for most of the interior valleys.
