"June Gloom" is in full effect Monday morning as the marine layer makes it return along the coast.
Morning low clouds are seeping into the coastal valleys and even some inland locations.
Patchy fog and cloud cover will clear gradually for most of the area by 11 a.m.
However, at the beaches, expect to be fairly socked in until the early afternoon. Skies will clear to partly to mostly sunny conditions.
Winds are generally light, 5-10 mph with afternoon gusts possible 15-20 mph.
Temperatures hardly fluctuate day-to-day this week. Beaches will see daytime highs in the mid & upper 60s. Coastal valleys will reach mid & upper 70s and inland areas will be in the 80s & 90s throughout the week.
While the forecast is relatively mild for the Central Coast, the Central Valley is under a heat advisory. Daytime highs are expected to reach 95-100 degrees through Saturday across the San Joaquin Valley and Sierra Nevada foothills.
