Firefighters are responding to a 200-acre vegetation fire burning near Fort Hunter Liggett in southern Monterey County.

The fire, dubbed the Coleman Fire, is burning northeast of the United States Army fort.

Officials say there is no danger to those working or living on post, but there are voluntary evacuation orders.

Voluntary evacuation orders are in place for:

  • Pine Canyon
  • Reliz Canyon
  • Coleman Canyon

This fire is burning near the area of the Dolan Fire, which remains 98% contained.

Firefighters are having to rely on multiple air resources due to the steep and rugged terrain.

The Los Padres National Forest is in the Unified Command with the Fort Hunter Liggett Fire Department.

This is a developing story, check back later for details.
