UPDATE (9:27 p.m.) - A COVID-19 positive case was present with one of the people assigned to the Pond Fire, according to a CAL FIRE press release.
Officials said the case was a kitchen worker who was not at the base camp when they tested positive. They are asymptomatic, and his module has been quarantined.
CAL FIRE said they are confident this is an isolated case because the person had no close contact with fire personnel.
According to the press release, they are working with the San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department.

ORIGINAL STORY (8:30 p.m.) - The Pond Fire which broke out on Aug. 1 near Creston and East of Santa Margarita is now 85% contained.
According to CAL FIRE, all evacuation warnings have been lifted. However, the road closure of Huer Huero Road from Highway 58 to Random Canyon remains in place.
CAL FIRE said in a press release the fire remains at 2,005 acres. They also reported one first responder injury.
One structure was destroyed, while another was damaged. Overall, 200 structures have been threatened by the blaze.
Fire activity was minimal today and fire officials said they are continuing mop-up operations.
CAL FIRE officials say they expect full containment by Aug. 8.
