California State Parks says the parks and beaches affected by last week's fire near El Capitan Canyon have reopened.

The Real Fire burned 420 acres and is 90-percent contained. Full containment is expected sometime Monday.

The fire started Thursday afternoon, causing the closure of Highway 101 for a few hours, and campers in the El Capitan area were evacuated.

State Parks says El Capitan and Refugio state beaches have since reopened, along with Gaviota State Park. Campgrounds and day-use areas, including the Bill Wallace Trail, are back in service at El Capitan State Beach.

No structures were damaged by the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
