CAL FIRE SLO responded to reports of a vehicle fire along southbound Hwy 101 on Cuesta Grade Monday afternoon.
The fire broke out at around 3:50 p.m. causing a threat to nearby vegetation.
Traffic in the area is slow as first responders work to knock down the fire.
As of 4:15 p.m. fire officials say they have made good progress on knocking down the vehicle fire and the threat to vegetation is being mitigated.
