UPDATE (12:19 p.m.)- The Carrizo Fire has now burned 150 acres and has the potential for 1,000 acres. The fire is burning on both sides of Highway 166.

ORIGINAL STORY: Fire crews are responding to a report of a vegetation fire at the 13000 Block of Highway 166 Northwest of New Cuyama. The fire was reported at approximately 11:29 am. on Saturday, August 22.
Officials say the Carrizo Fire has burned 10 acres and has the potential to grow up to 100 acres.
