Firefighters continue to make more progress containing the Lopez Fire that started last Saturday near Lopez Lake.
As of Thursday morning, CAL FIRE officials say the burn area is 85 percent contained.

Fire investigators determined the brush fire was sparked by an improperly extinguished campfire.
While fire officials are reminding everyone about how to safely and thoroughly put out a campfire, authorities are still looking for who is responsible for starting the Lopez Fire.
