The Dolan Fire burning near Big Sur continues to grow thousands of acres and firefighters have not been able to grow containment lines for several days.
The fire broke out near Big Sur on Aug. 18 due to arson and has burned 125,559 acres with 40 percent containment reached.
The fire has destroyed a total of 19 structures and damaged four others. As of Thursday morning there are 785 fire personnel on scene.
Highway 1 at Los Burros Road to Salmon Creek Falls including all roads and tributaries contained within are closed.
