Dolan Fire near Big Sur nears full containment

The Los Padres National Forest is working with the New York Fire Department Incident Management Team to extinguish the Dolan Fire in Monterey County Saturday morning as the blaze nears full containment.

Officials estimate full containment of the Dolan Fire by Tuesday, according to the Los Padres National Forest.

Crews will continue to use heavy equipment and suppression repair work to clear downed trees from roadways and control the perimeter of the fire, said the spokesperson.

More than 300 fire personnel are working to extinguish the Dolan Fire, which is nearly 125,000 acres, according to the Los Padres National Forest.

A spokesperson said the Eastern Area Silver Incident Management Team took over the Dolan Fire at 7 a.m.

Firefighters are investigating the cause of the blaze.
