UPDATE (3:49 p.m.) - A KSBY crew at the scene reports that forward progress of the fire was stopped and firefighters are working to finish up containment lines and mop up.
The fire burned approximately two to three acres, according to CAL FIRE SLO.
One utility pole appears damaged by the fire.
The fire broke out directly across the street from the elementary school.

(2:25 p.m.) - Firefighters are responding to a brush fire that broke out Thursday afternoon in Templeton.
The fire broke out at around 2 p.m. near the intersection of Vineyard Drive and Hidden Valley Road, near Vineyard Elementary School.
Vineyard Drive is closed in the area.
