Firefighters quickly gained control of a brush fire that broke out Monday in Casmalia.
The fire was reported just after noon near Point Sal Rd. and Santos St.
People in Orcutt may have noticed light smoke coming from the area.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department says crews arrived to find three acres burning in light fuels at a slow rate of spread.

They were reportedly able to stop forward progress of the fire at three acres and are expected to remain in the area conducting mop-up operations for the next couple of hours.
No injuries were reported and no structures were threatened.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
