Crews quickly knocked down a vegetation fire that burned east of Santa Maria.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the fire was reported near the 6600 block of Foxen Canyon Rd. near the Rancho Sisquoc Winery.
Fire officials said it burned one acre of grass and did not threaten any structures.

Smoke could first be seen from the San Ramon Chapel around 4:10 p.m.
Santa Barbara County Fire's helicopter made five to six water drops on the fire and forward progress is stopped.
