UPDATE (3:52 p.m.) - Forward progress of the fire has been stopped after burning 10 acres, according to CAL FIRE SLO.

(3:13 p.m.) - Firefighters with CAL FIRE SLO are at the scene of a brush fire off Bitterwater Road near Grant Lake in eastern San Luis Obispo County.
The fire was reported at about 2:45 p.m.
As of 3:10 p.m., CAL FIRE SLO reported that it had burned approximately eight acres with the potential to grow to 20 acres. No structures are threatened.
