ORIGINAL STORY: Fire crews are battling a fire that broke out Wednesday in the Carrizo Plains.
As of 1:12 p.m., CAL FIRE said the fire had burned approximately 80 acres of grass near the 9400 block of Soda Lake Road.
The rate of spread was described as moderate.
A full wildland response was called to the scene to help battle the flames.
