Burning of dozens of brush piles in Morro Bay State Park could begin as early as Tuesday.
State parks says the 88 brush piles throughout Black Hill will be burned “in order to reduce fuel loads and fire hazards associated with high fuel density caused by tree mortality.”
Burning is planned for 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. between March 16 and 26 depending on weather and permit conditions.
