The Pond Fire burning near Santa Margarita and Creston is now 90% contained and burned 1,962 acres.
The acreage changed after the completion of Field Observer mapping of the perimeter.
The fire that started Saturday, August 1, destroyed one structure, damaged another and threatened 200.
Fire officials say one first responder was injured.
Mop-up operations and suppression repair will continue through out the rest of the week.
Huer Huero Road from HWY 58 to Random Canyon remains closed.
The fire is expected to be fully contained by Saturday, August 8.
